Today is a perfect day to release and wind down from this busy time—and we have just the soothing remedy. Treat yourself to our bath soak recipe, designed to soften your skin, bring down joint inflammation and boost properties needed for bone and cartilage building. These are aspects of our bodies that Capricorn rules, making it a fitting day to let the stresses of the seasons go, and luxuriate in a warm bath filled with TLC for these areas.
o 1 bunch of roses (some petals mixed into the milk powder and the rest of the rose heads tossed in the tub – moisturinzing and anti-bacterial)
o 1 1/2 cups powdered milk (the lactic acid exfoliates and softens the skin)
o 1/2 cup epsom salt (magnesium sulfate helps bones mineralize and eases joint pain)
o 1/2 cup honey (moisturizing and anti-aging properties for skin)
o 1/4 cup coconut oil (softens skin with anti-microbial and anit-inflammatory properties)
o 1 tsp each freshly grated turmeric and ginger (these both help joint inflammation)
o A squirt of any citrus (vitamin C is the foundation of major components in cartilage)
o A few sprigs of eucalyptus is optional for a cooling sensation
o red food coloring (optional for a pink hue)
Draw a hot bath and pour the contents of each bowl into the tub. Stir with your hand until the milk powder is dissolved and the rest of the ingredients are well mixed. Toss the rose heads and Eucalyptus sprigs in the the tub and add a few drops of red food coloring, should you want a lovely and soft, pink tone to your soak.
